| Just like you, when I travel, I have certain degrees of expectation. For me, design and aesthetics define a role in choosing a place to stay. For the most part, experience is still the best one. In the world of luxury travel, you may or may not always get what you pay for. To ensure you spend it and get it wisely, here are my current Top Three Luxury destinations: |
Our first destination is Maldives. There are many places to choose from. My top choice is the Four Seasons Kuda Huraa. Staying at Four Seasons anywhere in the World always exceeds any expectations you might have. This is a luxury hotel at its finest. Their Hotel in Maldives is equipped with 96 Beach bungalows and suites. They boast their own spa, which is on its own private island. It gives you a glimpse of royalty. I truly enjoy diving and Kuda Haraa has some of the best dive sites, which are only a few minutes away. There is an infinity pool and a children's pool so you can bring the whole family. I recommend staying a minimum of five nights and six days as there is so much to do here. The average price per night to stay here is $1400 US.
Next on our list of luxury destinations is the Fairmont Pacific Rim located in Vancouver, BC, Canada. This luxury hotel really does a great job setting itself apart from other hotels in Vancouver. The best way to describe Pacific Rim is hip and modern mixed with awesome amenities.
The Fairmont in Vancouver has a total of 377 rooms and over 20 floors. You may bring your lovable pets at this Hotel with no extra charge. Cool, right? Their rooms come with a Nespresso machine, which is the standard now for drinking coffee for luxury hotels these days. Also, rooms now come with an iPad. My favorite is on the 21st floor. I stayed on one of two floors that have actual golden floors. Room stays start at about $339 US per night. The golden floor which I stayed on was roughly $636 per night.

The last on my list is the Banyan Tree Hotel in Macau, China. Banyan Tree Macau is a luxurious and exclusive all-suite Resort inside what is known as the entertainment sector - the Galaxy Macau. The resort has 246 suites in total and each one has its own pool inside the room. Yes, you read it right! Your own POOL! It is a place where you can expect to be pampered like royalty and have the opportunity to continuously enjoy Asia's hospitality. The nightly rate varies so I suggest you plan ahead.
