| It’s almost one of the most popular seasons of the year for fashion — fall. Less sun means more layers, and more layers means more options and more chances for creativity. Time to put away the shorts and dust off those trench coats, it’s about to get cool. Ladies — according to the runways, from Chanel to Calvin Klein, Elie Saab to Saint Laurent, FW ‘15/’16 Ready-to-Wear lines are flooded with rich, dark colors and boxy silhouettes. The theme of the runways this season can only be described as “classic.” |
What colors are trending this coming season? Black, of course (especially coupled with white), navy blue, maroon, baby pink, and army/moss green. Skinny jeans seem to be making an exit, soon to be replaced by straight legged pants with the occasional, subtle flare. Shift dresses and boxy, straight shapes in general are trending as well. Trench coats are in once again this year, adding to the classic theme of the seasons. Fur is being seen more and more on the runways, proving this trend is growing, as it was shown in last year’s RTW shows as well.
Every show either had the aesthetic of chic simplicity and subtlety or bold and daring patterns. So, whether you chose a dark, sleek look or a striking, vivacious one, you can’t go wrong this semester.
Now Gents — across the board, from McQueen to Armani, your trending styles this semester can be summed up in three words: sleek, edgy, and badass. Nothing but dark colors these next seasons, boys, just lots of black, gray, and white.
Baggy silhouettes for street wear and fitted suits for the business world. Trench coats, leather (faux is the way to go) bomber jackets, and fur embellishments dominate the runways. This fall and winter, it’s time to clean up, look sharp and look bad.
